So with the C6, does the gear lever come out in the same location, especially if you have a center console?

So contacted a local Gv supplier, they can get me in a C4 tail shaft extention, for $1500....

Next step is to get the C4 serviced tomorrow, and then either see if I can source a C4 extention for cheaper, or take one of you gentlemen (and i use that term very loosely) on the offer of a C6. Which, relaistically, may be the better option - I can plan the swap, get the C6 serviced, get a tail shaft made or shortened, lay everything out and hopefully get the swap done over a weekend.

Any of the GV users got any hot tips for young players on install?

My C6 is free, just come and take the bloody thing ...... Impatient

That has nothing to do with you not having a C6 Nuts

Hey enough of the 'my C6 is badder than your C6' contest already. What does a GV do for you? And who did Ronin pimp himself out too for a C6 in the end? (No pun intended-really none at all!!!)

Pity you have a 5 speed. If it was a 4 speed toploader, then the GV would have been a great addition without any floor mods.

Damn, Just sold the cortina toploader I've hung onto for 30 odd years to pay for Patience last expense. Now I have no spare gearboxes at all. Nuts can you recommend a good therapist.

Small update, GV unit has been paid for, just looking into shipping options.

C4 is officially toast ? But that's not surprising, it's one of the only parts of the car I e not touched since I've had her. The guys at Markos Transmissions in Penriff have sorted me out and done enough to keep the car on the road for another month or two.

Also picked up a new fuel tank today, found out the original (and I do mean original) leaked when full. Not optimal.....

Another job ticked off over the weekend. Fuel tank was leaking badly when full, picked up a new one from Sydney Mustang Parts for $200, pretty reasonable and good quality.

Also, adjusted the camber. Made a lot easier with the street or track camber plates.

Thanks for the forbtgr offer mate. The GV kit I got is for a C6, so I'm going to go down that road.
As for the C4, it'll be up for grabs if anyone is after one - free to good home.
