Looks good there Trav. I reckon that was about the flat tone in the engine bay that Shaun was going for in his build...

I just went to Autopower paints in Balcatta flicked through a few paint chips and then walked out the door shortly after. Not much thought put into matching the original Ford black just a cheap and cheerful acrylic for the time being.

Will get the porta power back to you during week. Thanks for that again.

Street avenger carb got a cleanup and a rebuild kit put through it

Flywheel dummy fitted up ready for some dial gauge work on the bellhousing

Bellhousing and sandwich plate installed took a while to get the gauge installed

Runout/eccentricity checks on the bellhousing. Using an old 351 clevo bellhousing and it came in pretty close so wont bother trying to correct anything (+/- 3 thou on the vertical and horizontal)

Hopefully will drop the engine in tomorrow adn finish up all the plumbing and odds and ends ready for a start up. Need to machine up a spacer as I am using an auto starter but my mates CNC machine will make short work of that.

Cheers,
Trav

Engine completed. Engine all plumbed up and oil primed with a drill and developed good oil pressure. A couple cranks with the starter and it fired to life will put up a short video later.

Thanks for everyones input and help along the way. Will put a full parts list up with part numbers soon too.

CHeers,
Trav

Got to revisit a few things on engine ( alternator mount, install power steering and a/c comp) and re-install trans, pedal box and check my driveshaft length with new t5 but on the home straight now.

Cheers,
Trav

Trav I'd still run a PCV valve if you can, keeps the crankcase under Vacuum, and helps stop leaks and premature seal failure.

Guesstimate on build cost if that's not too rude a request. That engine looks red hot Like
