I had a web on the green one (68 S code convertible) but things got hectic with work/life and it went stale... no such effort on the Royal Maroon S code GT coupe....but have tons of pics. PM me with what you are looking for and I'm happy to share.

Yes, the vacuum advance goes to the thermostatic switch on the water jacket. An emissions issue, not required, but replaced as both were near-factory restorations (no paint daubs as researching that got too hard...)

Same as 70's Oz cars, you only get vac to the diss when the engine is a above a predetermined temp, on 70's Holdens/ falcons you had to be in top gear as well.

A couple requests for a few more pics/info on the Royal Maroon '68... Don't have a lot as its not done and close ups in the shed or post paint shop ones are all I can get/have..

68 S code (390) w/4 speed (original VIN stamped trans, engine was dead, '69 service 390 block), factory GT. Bare metal restored to near factory condition (better paint!). Options; 390, GT (8k tach/trip odometer), PS, PDB, AM, black vinyl roof, 3.25 open rear (upgraded to 3.25 Tru-trac). Adding factory AC and upper and lower consoles, rear defogger, front valence shown, black hood stripes.

A bit further along than in the photos.

Hoping to finish it up over the holidays or very early in the new year and then sell it...
