Ok,
know what needs to be changed to fit the serpentine belt, but this would spin the fan arse about.

Anyone done this and how did you go about the cooling side...

SICK of the shit belts!!!!!

Alternator decided to go tits up tonite, put some extra load on the belt, which got tossed overboard 100 metres later. End result, car is camped out in a church carpark till i decide to deal with it and i am lil fitter after walking the last 2km or so home

Why not fit the EB-ED water pump and viscous fan, i am not sure on the timing cover matchup to the water pump on older motors?

MUPPETS!! LoL

The churchies had my car locked in when i arrived this arvo to cure it.

Now putting my brain back in the right place.

Rethinking this, ED is also multi belted Argh so its EF.
Not really wanting to do a thermo fan upgrade tho, although it might be the only option.

Are you sure the ED is multi belted?
Anyway the EB falcon/NC fairlane is single belted and viscous fan, that im sure about, this is mine, bit hard to see but it has a thread on the front of the water pump for the viscous fan or clutch fan some like to call it

OK this is way above my very basic knowledge range and I am probably saying something really stupid so feel free to laugh and flame me all you like, but can you fit a fan or mod one so the blades are facing/angled the opposite direction? then you don't need to change the direction it spins. Or is the fan also spinning a pump or accessory item? Shrug

Well there's an interesting thought....swap the plastic left handed Fan of the 6 pot to an all steel V8 one.

Next point of call is diameter, spacing and thread size....though MAY be able to fit the v8 blades to a 6 pot centre.
