Been a while. went shopping this week. Hopefully will get the camera out and take some pics of the latest purchase from capital classics and eBay. May even have another set of wheels this weekend.

So then Moe, when are you going under to get yourself covered in oil?

In the next fortnight. If the house stuff doesn't get in the way;

Made a start; sump is now resting on the crossmember. Bolts are being cleaned. Garage floor,and moe, are still clean. But the shopping list is beginning to grow.
Need to replace the Strut rod bushes. That's the second rubber component that's failed on the front end. Maybe I should drive it less... or upgrade to something that lasts more than 1000 miles.

Will look into moog bushes.

Was also considering this:

Also, while I am spending sooo much time underneath the mustang, I'm contemplating painting the underbody...
Canberra temps are not too much of a consideration, as I have the fire going in the shed when i need it to be warmer than outside.

Should I hit it with POR15 or similar; or something like this stone guard for the wheel wells and/or floors: www.ebay.com.au/itm/ST...35e8f35b64

Can you set up a video outside your cave for when you paint the underside with the fire going!!

Sure, Will likely be brushing it on, so will be boring video. Did you want it filmed in Beta format so you can replay it? Poke

Nope, they are not good as the forces are put on the clevis, so if that lets go you have a lower arm that can snap back & the wheel then jambs in the firewall. The early TCP were the same way & I had them changed to this idea that Alston's then improved .......

www.totalcontrolproduc...strut.html

You can see that the forces now are in front of where it bolts to the front location rather than behind it. However there is nothing better than a nice set of Moog bushes in the stock arms ...... Laughing
