Worth make a great body wax that is in a spray can & has a straw attachment that can get it in there for you.

So is this a Supercheap available product or available from only a speciality suppler?

I will someday think of something clever to say.

No Boof ,Super dump sell septone which is really gluggy. MPA refinishing supplies at Thornside would be a bet, they sell Tetrosan and stuff like that. Valvoline tetcyle works well if you leave it in the sun and you can thin it with white spirit. I've got a gun Dave if you want to borrow it. Colour Fast at Brownsplains sell worth I think, I'll check next time I'm down there in the next couple of weeks.

Or if you want to go down to Ormeau, if you are going to the Coast perhaps, if you go down get me some to.

Shaun,

Excellent post - I have no idea where you put all this information you have on tap. My brain is starting to leak... he he.

I will chase this up when I have a moment and if I do get some Wurth wax I will get some for you as well.

Thanks.

On a side note Shaun , I have all the LHD dash bezels we need (i hope) to convert to RHD. Will send up in the next week or 2 so you can do 'em at the same time as yours , for convenience sake. No rush at all, when your ready.

(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

I would suggest that to do a dash for your car Mark, that you do it trying it in yours as all conversions are different.

So maybe just cut one out, try it in place & then do the finishing. Actually very easy to do, especially if you have access to a scroll saw.

Trouble is it maybe easier to make the metal dash fit the plastics, you can only kind of cut and shut them one way. May have to mod the steel dash a bit to make them fit, after the fact.

Done a bit more panel work, stripped the LH front, I knew there was some bog there, about 40mm thick, looks like they had a go with a screw in slide hammer gave up, kicked it in, a wiped it instead. Would have liked to had this finished, but thought I'd better paint the top on my long suffering daily drive LR Disco, before it was back to bare metal.

Here it is as stripped

Mostly hammered up

On the car.

And some fresh Ardennes green metalic and clear going on the Disco

This is the painting shed not the fixing shed, extra lights, lined and pressure fed with filtered air etc.

XXXX kegs are just the correct height for painting a Disco roof, just ! Bloke that used to live next door to a mate drove a beer truck so we got a few, for wine. Have an old spanish mate that makes his own wine we fill them with that, we welded some taps in them, this one is empty though.

Have the entire LH side repaired and in etch, turned it around in the shed and started on the off side. I thought the Rh rear 1/4 was going to be a bit rough, but it is pretty good, an old repair on the back edge done in lead so very old, and the arch has been brushed against something, had to push it out 15mm at the back of the flutes and 10mm at the top, did a number of stud pulls to get the skin of the lip off the inner on the front edge. No rust.

I love this thread. Great to watch Shaun. That was a decent mess that LH guard.

Holy crap! And I laughed at the 1/2" layer in places on mine when I started stripping it down...
