I like that colour combination Matt. Could be a good choice.

Matty , my choice would be XW GT Reef green with the Gold Shelby stripes, then incorparate the stripes into your custom hard lid for the tub, you know , so when the lids open the stripe is continued underneath ( fully sick mate )

cheers Ralph

I woke up this morning thinking that the green with gold stripes wouldnt look to shabby.

Its a toss up between green with gold stripes and red/candy apple/wine with gold stripes

Didnt go to the shop yesterday and work on it...it was tooooo nica day.

It's going to look cool - I want one too !!

I reckon the Green & Gold combo - will look slightly understated but very cool - that one has got my vote!!

The Red & Gold combo would still look good if you what it to really jump out in your face - but it's probably a very common predicatable choice ??

Drink Thumbs Up

Well its been a while since I had the time to update anything so I thought I would start with the mustang ute thread as there is less pictures and progress.

The 347 was taken out and a fuel injected five “O” installed with a nice little 5 speed. Swapped out the 8” for a cut down 9”. Changed out the exhaust from a factory GT style and went with a cut down twin system set up. Went from the 2005 GT rims to a set of 18 x 9 and 18 x 10 on the rear. Rolled the front and rear wheel arch lips and Sherm from Sunstate mustang gave me a half cut centre consol so I can run A/C with out cutting the full consol I originally had. Went from a standard hood to a GT350 style hood

I ended up going with a color that I have always wanted to do and is Sheri’s favourite color. A friend heard what I was building and wanted to be a part of it and decided to “Hook me up” for once 
Sent it out to him were he got started on the final stages of the body work. My back is so toasted, there is just no way I could of done it at the moment.

The pics below are of the car a week later after it has been long blocked. We went around the car for about an hour checking every single section by hand trying to find any high’s or low’s. Most of what we found were in the bed itself but we wanted to be sure as I wanted LASER straight.

The picture above is as I left it a week ago before we headed up to Vegas for SEMA. On Saturday I was sent the pictures below to my phone….yes, I went with House of color’s Candy Apple red with a gold base.

Still need to sort out the rear window and fab up some side windows. Intention is to slam it 2-3 inches all round and as for the bed floor, I haven’t got that far yet. Some say timber with stainless strips, chrome or black checker plate…I really need to see it all together before I can get an idea. Not fond of the chrome checker plate at this stage.

Hope you all like it so far.

.

Justin, I had plenty of time to decide on the colour but that candy red Sheri has been stuck on for months. I think I even posted that as one of the 3 options back in July.....after having several months of deliberation on the 3 options, I went with the candy red

With a little chrome, its gonna look awesome. Just need to slam it on it nuts now.

Ive estimated 4 full days to put it back together but Im gonna count on 7 coz I dont think my back will let me do the rewire under the dash.

Its pretty well interior only to go back in but Im in no hurry. Would like it ready by the 24th for the turkey rod run in Daytona though.

as for the bed....Im leaning towards a dark timber or a satin black flat steel base

Matt
