Excelent stuff Kerry.

You are the man to go to for E cars. You need a new card "Downunder E cars" Poke

I will someday think of something clever to say.

Looks great!! Thanks kerry. I needed to see that today!!..

It prob didn't help that the tips were 2.25" or 2" exits and I needed 2.5". I think Steve's were less troublesome as they were 2.5" exits.

None the less Kerry has shown his excellent work.

Thanks mate!!!! Ill call you tomorrow to thank you personally.

I'm happy with that outcome!!

Mine were a c@*t too. That style tip looks the business, but they are so much of a pia to make work. About 3/4s of mine ended up in the bin. I dont think I have posted pics of it yet. Its on the hoist atm so I will get some tommorow if I remember.

I expect everyone forgets everything I say as you can never take any sentence from a boofhead seriously. You do have a good point - he is old so I will be sweet :rotfl:

The way those tips were made, they took a 2 1/4" pipe on the OUTSIDE. They are actually 1 7/8" inside diameter. I needed 2 1/2" INSIDE diameter to allow flow.

I adapted a spare supercharger intake I had to make the flanges. Just cut the straight part out of that intake & had it machined to suit. Then came the fun TIG welding that shit aluminium exhaust tip casting. It was full of impurities & an absolute bitch to weld. Anyway it is all history now & as I said in my previous post, moving onto better things like intake for the blower.

Also been involved in other happier tasks like building the the first of 2 Capri's (first is a V6 & then a V8) & moving forward on Mark's Cuda. Life is now good again ....... 🍿

I have been told that I knew a Boofhead once. Not sure though, I think some other old guy from WA (that used to work with me on the Muppet Show) told me .......

Working on early Capri's............. indeed heaven.
I might have a few parts lying around here as well. I will have a look.

The exhaust is excellent on gbx's car. I have looked at the photos many times. So how does it sound? O that's right have to leave it to G to start her up to celebrate the accomplishment. Laughing

The intake is the one I cant wait to see.. very limited space for a 4" intake pipe. But kerry has shown me how hes going to do it and how it will be removable.

I pledged this car will be registered on the road by end if spring. It has too. Even if its not 100% complete. . I want to be driving it and I can slowly tinker with things after.

Yes it is nice, although body parts are non existent.

The V6 will be nice. An Essex engine with triple webbers backed by a 5 speed ...... Like

The V8 will be a Perana clone, so 302 Windsor backed by a 5 speed & cut down 8" Falcon diff ...... Spot On

I am sure he will allow me to post here as a "project" on both builds

I like capri's. I did 4 banger GT for Dad when I was an apprentice. Vermillion Fire with black stripes. It was a sexy looking car when it was finished.
