What time are we meeting? I ask as it will determine whether I watch the rugby live (5am) or sleep in and watch the replay (9am)

A great day had by all ..it was great.... Cheryl's car scored two trophies, as well as defines the work to finish and present the car by Nuts...job well done to both you and Cheryl. Cheryl should take it to castle Hill. Dave Chapman should be also be congratulated for his 68 build for his display and efforts and needs to go to Castle Hill as well. I counted 45 cars on the day...a big pat on the back for all of those who made it..the weather was great.

Agreed, it was a great day, great weather and nearly 50 Mustangs on display.

Cheers.

Thanks for your kind words Medic. If only you changed your wheels, you might have picked up a prize!! :rotfl:

Yep certainly was a good day. Plenty of fine ponies on display. and the breed took out some major prizes including best club display. Like

Nice to catch up with you tezza, your 66 vert is sweet! Like the wheels too!

Nuts, not another trophy for best original paint ;-)

It was good to meet Cheryl finally. I have heard about her, or more accurately her car, for the past five years and only met her for the first time today. It is always interesting to see what you thought they would look like and what they actually do.

Yep Cheryl has had a long journey and is reaping the rewards for her patience! She picked up best restored original muscle car and I think best Mustang. I think Dave with his wonderful 68 restomod took out best individual display and I think best modified mustang. Well done Dave! If I got any wrong can someone correct me..

The only thing that got me worried...was the fact that it took jacko took years to work out who Cheryl was...never mind...now you know, and the fact you all share good company.

Nice to see that Dave has won a bunch of awards with his 68 Mustang.
Unfortunately he has not seemed to share that good fortune with his car builder , who he apparently owes a fair sum of money to and simply refuses to pay. It's always a sad day for all car enthusiasts when this type of behavior occurs. Dave seems happy to accept the awards and accolades for his car, a car that someone else built, but when it comes to paying the guys that made that happen for him he seems to have fallen short. Maybe this Mustang community can shine him a guiding light..Shame on you Dave.. shame..

Sounds odd...you would think anybody running a resto shop would like his payment before the finished product rolls out the door...then again...just my opinion.

Apparently they did him a favor and let him take the car sometime in November so he could get it to a car show ( maybe this one) with the promise to pay at the end of the year. I guess they trusted him to do the right thing..

Sorry, Ford_Sport, but I'm a little sceptical;
First post is an accusing one in a thread that is a couple of months old.
No background as to where you fit in the situation.
There are two sides to every story, and the truth seems to be somewhere in the middle.

interesting that someone lobs into here with their first post a grenade. Care to declare any interest in this so we have the whole story.
BTW, I have no idea who Dave is.

Simple, I want to see the right thing done . People here seem to know him so I have registered here to make contact with them, and maybe they can have a word to him before all this escalated to court action. There's no mystery, work has been done and accounts not payed, His trophy's speak for the quality of the build, the guy just has to pay his bill.. simple..
