goes alright for a bloke who's not Scottish don't he......

He is actually, met him once at a car show when his mate Fletch (Classic Restos) brought him and his wife along. He actually played a 'screw' on Prisoner with the unimaginative name of Jock Stewart.

Well Old mate came today & had a look. He has copped it on the chin & will wear it. He is going to lodge a claim, so will have to dick around for a week or so until that gets sorted. At least this way I should be able to charge labour for pulling it out again. About as good a result as I could expect.

I will have to talk to the assessor about that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again send it up to Ian Woodward at Fataz. You won't be sorry.

Using the same crowd to rebuild is a big risk.

The same bloke wont be doing it that much is certain. He suggested to me that the insurance company would want him to do it. I suggested to him that they will blow me before that happens. I told him all he needs to do is lodge the claim, pay his excess & give me the claim number, then as far as I am concerned he can forget it ever happened. I can then sort it out with the assessor.

Shaun if I had more time I would send it up to your bloke, the shop that did the report on it for me know what they are doing though. It was originally going to get done there anyway. Its a long story why the plan changed, but it had nothing to do with a lack of faith in their work or cost etc.

Sweet so long as you know someone good. Andrew just rang me and said his Flat head is ready to go, Woody is going to drop it around in the next day or so. Trans-Am race car in the back ground at the shop.

Time for a test fit in this withT700 behind it.

i was reading a thread on a site in the US .. and it reminded me of you steve. The poor guy had an engine builder build his engine and the block cracked and some other issues.. anyway he went and bought a crate short block instead this time and this was one of his posts:

Got the new motor together tonight. While pulling the cam out of old short block I found one of the oil freeze plugs all ground up in the timing chain. Another reason ill never recommend this machine shop again.

hmmmm

It will be fine this time around. I should know a bit more from the Insurance company tomorrow. I have now got a claim manager & he seems a decent bloke.

Where did you mount the Fast XFI , as there is not a lot of room under the dash for the ECU and all its cable .
