Yep, 17x8.
That's actually two front wheels I put on one side of the car to see what they will look like.
I will put wider tyres on the other two rims for the rears, but I put 225's on those two rims for the fronts. Just so I could see whether I needed to mod the front guards or not.

Was it you that had mobile alignment stuff? I am going to start looking for a mobile wheel alignment mob before I take the car to Steves to be 100% certain I won't have issues... do you want the job (paid), or will I look elsewhere?

To each, his own, but I don't like those. The sand blasted/grey inner part looks washed out to me.

I prefer the way coys do it.

The Vintage ones are more traditional and correct to the movie but from a distance I also prefer how the Coys look, the gleam from the polished sections gives the car more pizazz in my opinion.

tsk tsk tsk have you not learnt anything!! Very Happy ..

you need less backspace not more, you need to measure but as a generalisation you would need less the amount your diff is shorter each side.. if your diff is 1 inch shorter each side compared to "factory" then "generally" you need 1inch less backspace ie 4.5" but NEVER just go by numbers as each car is different so you need to measure. I went 4.75inch backspace to be on the safe side and so the wheel tucks under the guard. after the kit andeverything i could have gone 4.5" or even 4.25" and i would be clear.. saying that i have different suspension to you so bare that in mind with you rim widths.

you also need to consider your offsetts and make sure your brakes will clear the center etc/

Bas, you need to get it measured by someone who knows what they are doing. Mine has 6.5 back space on 11s. I had a guy come & measure it & the wheels fit exactly. If I had of guessed there is no way I would have gotten in right. Your car has a non standard diff, non standard brakes & non standard arches. The only way to get wheels to suit your car is made to measure. The wheels off my car, Georges car, Cages car & ShaunP's car will not fit your car correctly. Your setup is unique to YOUR car. Get it measured.

Cut & paste this post & save it somewhere. When you ask someone about wheels refer back to this & you have your answer.

Another method is to fit any wheels on to the new set up, as long as you know the offset you can then figure it out with the offset calculator.

The results show the new inner clearance and the new outer position compared to the first wheel you put on.

That calculator is for information purposes only. There is no guarantee the wheels will fit. There is too many variables on a modified car to guess or measure yourself if you dont know what you are doing. Especially when you are aiming to fill the guards. A quality wheel shop will measure for you if you are buying the wheels from them. If you are buying them from somewhere else be up front with them & ask how much for them to calculate it for you.

I worked mine out & when I went to order them the bloke offered to come out & check it. What I had done the wheels would have fitted, but I thought 10" was my limit. I was wrong & now have 11". George researched his & organised it all himself. Again they fit & look awesome, but they would be even better with a half inch offset change. A wheel specialist will pick that shit up.
