What about your ignition switch (and associated wiring). The way you described the symptom it sounds like you are just turning off the key so check the connections to your ignition switch as well.

Do you get that "vacuum sound" when it stops from idle, or only when some revs are on?

Does it restart immediately or does it take a while?
Sounds like ignition, borrow or buy a timing light, connect it to the coil wire rather than #1 spark plug & redo test. Hold revs at 1500 and see if the spark fails which causes the engine to stop, or is it still sparking as the revs drop. That'll give you the answer about where to look...

turf that dizzy mate and do as boofhead suggested. Plum it up with s standard set up to eliminate that problem first.

My bet is on spark and not fuel also.

That dizzy was a cheap nock off that I had never used before but wanted to give it a try.
