Have any of you got twin 2.5" exhaust on a 66? If so, do you have any pics of it?
The exhaust guy seems to be putting it in the too hard basket because I don't have the handbrake cable assembly and tailshaft.

Also, it looks like the AOD is a bit fatter than a C4.

I'm trying to get him to do the exhaust and I'll modify the handbrake to fit, but he aint keen.

Surely if he knows what he's doing he could make up a dummy fitting where the handbrake is going to be to allow for clearence. I can see where he's coming from but you can get around it with a bit of thinking!
Send me your email address @ I'll send pictures of my setup on a '66 Fastback

Thanks fellas... I'm waiting on a phone call now to see what's going on.
It's been a really shit day for me today overall so hopefully I get some half good news. I'm annoyed that I've had to pay for a truck to get the car there perhaps for nothing.

Hybrid, I have a 2.5 Magnaflow system still in the box if you want to borrow it for him to copy.

Thanks Hawko... I'll mention it when I speak to him.

I think he is most concerned about the headers hitting things and the bigger AOD gearbox.

I know it's a piss off , but I'd so wait til everything was in place so as not to do the job twice. Patience Grasshopper , wax on , wax off.

dono, I had no plans to do it now... my mate is closing his shop down and was doing it as a favour. That's the only reason it's there.

To me the handbrake is not a big deal. They don't work anyway, and I can modify it to fit if I need to.

So now the real story comes out.

Because my mate is closing his workshop in a few weeks, the guy just can't be arsed doing anything any more.

So anyway, we've organised a guy from another shop to do a cashy for us. It's going to cost me a bit more now, but at least it will get done.

So is he selling a going business or just closing down? If closing down, what is he doing with the equipment?

Get him to email me a list & prices of what he has. Building racing/custom exhausts is fun.
