Hi all,

I have a 65 coupe that I am in the final stages of putting in my new 347 stroker motor. I have done a lot of work and want to keep it as a 'sleeper' so everything is still original looking. I need some bigger rear tyres and would really like to keep the look of the white wall and hub caps. Has anyone got any ideas or knows a rim that will fit a bigger tyre and still let me put the original hub cup on?

Thanks!!!

Not that I have any advice, but when you say 'bigger' do you mean taller, or wider.. I suspect wider but better to be clear...

Why not try a styled steel wheel using white walls, see Mark at Capital Classics as I think you can get a wider wheel.

I saw Mark at Capital Classics today, I work just around the corner, kinda handy!! The problem is I'm a bit fussy about not wanting to go to another type of rim, I really like my hub caps!!

And yes, I need wider.

You could get your rims widened upto 10" wide for a reasonable price. Still fit your hubcaps, with 295/50-15's!

Now that would be unique!

I don't see the point of making it a sleeper...if someone pulls up and sees a mustang packing 295s they are going to be suspicious!

But if you just like the look of them then it would be a pretty cool setup.
