Tomorrow I'm planning to buy all the new ball joints etc for my front end as I get ready to take the car off the rotisserie.
I got my suspension/exhaust mate to send me a list of pedders parts for 64-70 Mustangs, but some of the parts appear to be doubled up, so I'm not sure which part numbers to order. So who can help my identify the parts in this pic?
Also, am I forgetting anything else consumable that I should be replacing in the front end? I've already got all the bushes in urethane.
I've purposely left this image bigger than normal so its clear to see.
Once I'm sure all the descriptions and part numbers are right, I will create a page in the Tech Shop for it.
Description and Pedders Part number:
1) Tie Rod End/Outer PTE184L
2) Tie Rod Sleeve (not listed)
3) Tie Rod End Inner L/H?
4) Tie Rod End Inner R/H?
6) Tie Rod Sleeve (not listed)
7) Tie Rod End/Outer R/H
Here is the full parts list from pedders.
As you can see.. the items aren't described very well, so its hard to tell what is what.

Thanks fellas.. a night at the pub with my old man also gave the answer to #5.
I think I'm going to just tell pedders to give me one of everything that's consumable.
I have already bought new upper and lower arms, but the upper ball joints don't have the grease nipple near the hole in the arm where they should be, so I'm looking to replace those. I'll leave the lowers alone.
Just don't put any Nolethane in it. Does it really need all new tie rods, the original are good quality, just cause they are 40 years old doen't mean they are stuffed, if they are not loose why change them? you can buy boots for them. I have set of 67 ones that came off my car which are like new. Idler arms do flog out. Factory tierod are often better than what you can buy as aftermarket that's for sure.
Did the same thing with my 67 coupe, replaced the lot, was lucky the previous owner had just spent a heap of bucks replacing the ram and valves and steering lines. So I replaced the rest, and didn't I notice the difference!!!!, Now the brakes are a different story.
