Ok, picked up the mustang today from JEM in ingleburn. Adam fully tuned the Haltech, including the different tables for meth on and meth off, idle etc etc
First thing they said is that the hipo manifolds I had are going to hold it back a lot. I sort of knew this, but now I know how much they are holding it back. They were holding the car back in the NA tune, and I thought adding boost would lessen the matter. But it's actually amplified it.
It made 280rwhp without meth and 330rwhp with meth(timing/fuel adjustments obviously). Both were conservative tunes with conservative timing. Made peak power around 5500, which shows that there are flow issues there. I understand all dynos are different, and the heat may have had something to do with it, but the stock lower intake and cast manifolds are obviously hurting it. They also mentioned that up the hogan intake was flexing(ballooning but not quite ballooning), due to the thin alloy walls. Nothing to worry about, but interesting none the less.
All that aside, there was absolutley no dramas with anything, and they complimented on how well the Haltech was setup/wired in.
The car drives great, and pulls really hard compared to before. It was 36dg when I was driving home, and the car didn't go over 185, so the larger radiator is really working well. I will enjoy it as is for a while and give it a good thrashing.

I'm sort of happy, because now I have a pretty good base, but still have small thing to do(mrs will hate me). Later down the track, I will do heads/headers together(don't want to waste money on gt40p headers), and will change to a better intake manifold.

Yeah that's not even under boost, just flexing from vacuum to no vacuum. At least I know I have no leaks 😀 I'm going to replace it with a trick flow box R upper and lower this year sometime

Yeah I'm going to call up next week and get the dyno sheets with AIT's and AFR's. It was 36dg when they were doing the dyno's, and the difference was 50rwhp. Temps must have been super high ha ha

His second recommendation after changing the exhaust manifolds was fit an intercooler.

Something is not right with the meth if they are suggesting an intercooler.
Mine gets down to 30-40 degree temps no matter what the outside temperature.
An intercooler is not going to touch that on a hot day.

I reckon they are talking about off boost temps. Almost every forced car they deal with is intercooled, so they are probably not used to seeing high temps like mine off boost. Either way, I'll get the sheets and see what the go is.
Sucks when you're not there while it's being run, feels like you miss a lot of information.
