I made it up, it’s an aftermarket housing then I bought a universal neck and got a mate to tig it on. I have to find a bung for the original falcon bleed line but happy otherwise.

Finished making the brake pedal today, once again the falcon donating parts, this time the foot plate.



And I couldn’t help but put the start button in

Brakes are now bleed up and handbrake cable mounted and works a treat. Fuel lines are being a pain with all the specialty shops closed so will have to dig through my box of bolts to get the original Barra lines to connect to the new AN fittings. Trans lines all plumbed up and ready to fill.

And we now have a 67 mustang with wood grain panel. This was quite painful but saved me heaps.

Should have mentioned you were going woodgrain. I have done this a few times on Jags, the HT and other cars.

Hi MTN67, have you tried fitting the convertible roof in the space where you have the seat belts? I looked at mine today to see if what you had done would work in my 66, but the roof attaches where you've cut out those bits? I'm going to chat to the engineer tomorrow and talk to him. VSB14 mentions seatbelts but the only reference I can see to needing retractables is the front because the seatbelt is not allowed to fallout of the vehicle. The rear can't fallout, they'll just drop on the seat.

This is what the convertible area looks like on a a 66, I imagine a 67 will be similar? However, i just checked with my engineer, he does ACT and NSW certifying and he said that lap-sash retractables in the front with lap-sash non retractables in the rear is fine in a convertible as pre 73 ADR31 applies.

I also asked him about master-cylinders because the same engineer said they had to be translucent so you could see the fluid level. He said pre-1973 car adr31/33 do not apply so I can stick with the new cast iron tandem master cylinder I fitted (can't leave the single circuit master-cylinder if you do an engine upgrade. Just go's to show to check the answer with more than one engineer as they all have different interpretations of the rules.

Thanks for the pics Ed, I have had my frame move need and thought the vinyl would be the only issue. I might organise to swing past and take a look if that’s ok.

I could have argued about the belts but at the end of the day our boys will be in the back and I would rather a three point for their sake.
