When I bought my 67 it just failed the sound test for the RW, it had straight through pipes. They installed a H pipe and it came in 2db under.

My experience is the sounds drops a few db - all depends on type of muffler though.

After seeing that, I'm going to run 24 "X" pipes on pheonix. Should make more power. Yes....

We kind of made a multi cross over on Dave's E type. we made the pipes out of flat rectangle RHS tube to get more ground clearance and then snaked mandrel bends in 2" pipe down center of the 2 RSH rails like say 5 X pipes. Big open chamber on the back with Jag V12 fan tail tips. It wasn't super loud for an 800hp engine and you jack the car up by it, made lots of sparks on street sprints when it hit the ground. Seemed work pretty well.

Biggest issue was it was heavy, the E type is low and the RHS gave us the biggest cross section we could fit under the car, particularly the Jag rear end. We made the headeer for the Chev as well out of mandrel bends, 4 in to 1 shorties tucked in the space frames, tried to get them equal length.
