Ok now I have your interest, I need to know the TPI and size of the small countersunk screws that attaches the door glass to the runner channel on a 67/68.
If you know who sells them that would be a bonus.
Those windy turny screwy twisty things are still in my doors, one of which is hanging off my rustless bucket and may possibly be dismantling tomorrow... will let you know if no-one gets back to you before then.
Fifty Years Afloat
We can't alter the direction of the wind,
But we can adjust our sails
I have a bunch here as I buy them in bulk (replace every one in the doors when rebuilding them)
I will look at the box in the morning. I need to write a note to myself...
Thanks mate, but I am a little dissapointed. It took 7 minutes for your response, thats like being on HOLD.
Sorry nassi, I was reading a lengthy reply on the Airliners.net forum re the Qantas A380. Been following it since the mishap & as each thread gets to 300 posts, they create anther page. It is halfway through page 4 at the moment, so a lot of reading.
Ahh yes Pratt & Whitney., good drive lines unlike some of that Rough and Ready stuff available.
I trust you will have a safe and comfortable trip.
Interesting reading the A.net. My bet is that they will total that plane as it needs a new wing & they have been superseded (changed the angle of attack by half a degree), so would need both changed. Cost would be more than a new aircraft (considering the down time), so I guess this one may head to the scrapyard, or go back & be rebuilt as a VIP aircraft for some wealthy Arab.
