Wheels have been updated to something more period correct and in a 15". Pics to come...

Got up this morning, and thought, stinking hot day forecast for the region - perfect for a convertible! So I logged on to the rego website, put some rego on it and drove it to work today.

Will need a wheel alignment, but overall, was fun! The sound of the exhaust put a smile on my dial!!!

Thanks to Nuts - p/steering leak identified at the control valve area... the return line has a slight split in it. New line required.

The two short lines have also puffed up... so they are on the list to be replaced.

Did think I would get more than 2000 miles out of them.

Any recommendations on brands? pretty sure these were Scott Drake.

I have bender and flaring tool.
As i dont have PS so dont know, what size is the pipe??
Is it flared both ends? Shrug
can it all be metal or is part of it rubber, or does it matter ??

It's the 3/8" return line that has split near the nut and I didn't have any 3/8" tube on hand to make a replacement. As Moe says, the two ram hoses have swelled alarmingly and need replacement, so may as well replace the three.

Chasing part numbers - found that there are two options for a power steering return hose that may suit my application C7OZ-3A713-A or C7OZ-3A713-C.

Some suppliers list both numbers under the one listing. Anyone aware of the difference between the two?

A is the first generation and C is the superceded part
