Howdy,
If anyone is interested in doing a track session let me know. I have booked out the full circuit for a 2.5 hour tuning session and I have some spare spots left if anyone is interested. Need roadworthy car, AS approved helmet and a good attitude.

$90 buy in but this may come down depending on numbers. It is preferred to have completed a prior skidpan or tuning session at RAC but there is some flexibility about this.

PM or email if interested my Mustang will be out there getting a thrashing to test the new Watts linkage setup.

Travis

No I am still at a bloody disadvantage. His had a 440 cu in chev or something, with big Baer 4 spots, flash front end with a four link at the rear. Built over 5 years and with a budget to match.

We can easily build a 438 (or bigger) 351 Windsor based engine. Poke

I think you will give him a bigger scare this time. I am sure you will have so much fun. Shame I am not in WA - you could beat me for sure.

Oh Boof....leave your engine upgrading alone. Car has so much power its not funny I dont even run it right up to the rev limiter.

Car was heaps better with the Watts linkage in the rear with the only chassis/suspension issue being a fair degree of lift under acceleration which I think can be attributed to the shock valving. Other than that I just have to mount some slicks (which I have laying in my garage) and fit up a power steering cooler on way from Summit Racing.

Will post a video soon off a mates GoPro

Did you try different roll center changes in the back end - if so did you feel any difference?

I guess I want to know how the watts link went and what did you play with and learn.

No didn't make any on the fly changes. Car differently felt much better on the track with the Watts linkage.

To be honest most of the changes are still happening at my end learning how best to negotiate the track and deal with the car. It definitely demands more concentration and effort than my Commodore.

As an aside my Commodore destroyed the remains of the front pads. My poor old mate hit the brakes at the end straight to be met with almost non existent brakes. Just ordered another set of QFM HPX pads which are in my opinion amazing in regards to temperature tolerance, wear and price ($158 for all for corners!!!!). Pulled the pads yesterday and there is literally nothing left, crumbled down to the backing plates.
