At this stage the watts linkage propeller is setup to optimise the axle mount arms ( equal and parallel to ground) in accordance with the Fays2 instructions. I ended up with propeller pivot 0.5 in lower than their recommended starting point but my car is fairly low in the rear so this makes sense.

When I get some time I will compare with rear roll centre and maybe try some different arrangements.

Overall though the car feels extremely predicable almost as if someone snuck into the garage overnight and instaledl IRS in the back or something.

I note that they reccomend "a maximum of 2.25 O.D. pipes"

Note in the pic I threw up on the first page has the exhaust fitted & there would have been less room as my one (copy of the 69/70 TA one) is a complete box, not square tube.

Ran them real close to the rear springs, but the 2.25" went in with no real issues.

I run a slightly restrictive 2.25 twin system which is a carry over from original 302 setup.

Got the Watts Linkage install wrapped up this afternoon. Wowser...this thing is a go kart now. It was good before even better now the rear end is amazingly tight and controlled even on street driving. Probably biggest single improvement I have done to chassis

I used the Fays2 product couple of minor customisations and mods required to fit which I feel could be improved but overall the results are very good. Still need to sort tail pipes as there is not much room there now.

The beast now has the following steering/suspension configuration.

Street or Track Roller lower arms, upper arms and strut rods
Opentracker roller spring perches
Roller idler arm
Bilstein shocks
Whiteline swaybar
Stock steering box, pump and valve (all rebuilt)
Lovells Springs

Rear
TCP 4.5 leaf springs
Bilstein shocks
Fays2 Watts Linkage

Out at Willow bank today with Boofhead for the Historic racing. One event was muscle car sprints, so do laps in your muscle car. only a few cars about 3 Clubsport type holdens one of them was a current model GTS type thing and 2 mustangs a rough 67 coupe and a very nice 65 Fastback GT350 look alike. This 65 made mince meat of the new GTS, in fact it lapped everyone one. On inspection in the pits, it was set up as like a road targa car, with fairly basic factory type suspension, but with some trick spun alloy adjustable shocks, one of these watts links. No fancy front arms or racks, just an XF falcon box RHD, they had fitted 67 type camber pins adjustable caster bars, a little bump steer fixing kit etc, 302 based windsor etc, The other car basic 67 coupe, with an AFR headed 351 based engine nothing special not as quick as the 65 but could but still quicker then a new Commodore. The 65 was running Kelsy hayse front brakes and a set of rear discs, you think this was no match for the Brembos on the Holden wrong, it was embarrassingly quick. The holdens were running out of brakes
