What do you want the Vac line for? Distributor?

BOOF i think u just got yelled at....

ive remember reading some info on holley int/ext vacuum a few weeks back but cant locate it.
nevertheless, doesnt an electric choke operate irrespective of vacuum? being the very principle of an electric choke is that it is simply 'timed' with the expansion of the coil heating up so in effect vacuum isnt relevant.
ive got a manual choke 570 street avenger and cant find anything youre referring to apart from timed vacuum port (what Boof mentioned) and full vacuum eg: C4 vac modulator.
correct me if reqd oh wise people!

Here's one for you Hendrix fans, "Little Wing" by one of my bands MATT ROBERTS TRIO live at The Boatshed in Sydney.
We always try and give this song the respect it deserves and Matt rips up the solo's. enjoy!

CHOKE KITS (AS STATED) USE A SWITCHED POWER SOURCE ONLY NO VACCUMM LINE.

Not quite sure why I got yelled at for asking for clarification on purpose. One think I like about this site is this type of situation does not generally happen.
Any way, just purchaser the chock kit for the model Holley concerned - easy peasy.

MAY I SUGGEST OLD MATE SIMPLY LEFT HIS CAPS LOCK ON ACCIDENTALLY?

That's where my money is.

If that was the case, then I will apologise as I just got off the plane with 30 hours flight time, 5 planes and a lot of waiting as well as being rather sick. I did not take it well as being very sick and extremely tired does not promote patience.

That's a bugger Boofhead. I know that feeling. Are you back home or abroad now? Either way, I think you need some medicine... Drink

Sorry about that. My caps lock sticks sometimes and won't come off, on that note hope you are feeling better. I did find a part number for a choke kit for a 570 avenger 45-223do you think this will be fine? The only difference is the part number for man or electric choke carb as both cabs seem the same

They are a simple bolt up with a simple switch 12v wire connection. Manual setup you have more control over the choke. Most often you do not need one at all.

I agree, I have an electric choke on the 570 but would not do it again, here in Perth at any rate. I didnt run one on the autolite, and thats how I will go in the future. The electric one will actuate when its not needed so you end up de-choking quite often.

I could never get the electric choke on my 570 working correctly. It kept coming back on after the engine was warm. I tried all sorts of adjustments. Its now cabled tied off permanently.
I find I dont really need it anyway.
