I will someday think of something clever to say.

Boof/Shaun I am on the plug drilling bandwagon already that is why I mocked up the photo except both my drill chucks dont like a 1mm bit so will dig one up somewhere. I already drilled most of the way with a larger bit.

Block still needs to go back to shop on monday as I will be using main studs (which were supplied to the shop) and they were to check the tunnel with these installed but this fell off the job card. Will drop of monday for them to installed studs/bearings and confirm whether a line bore is required.

Summary of machining:
Bored and torque plate honed 30 thou
Zero decked
Screw in plugs front ( factory rear)
General cleaning etc etc
Cam bearings ( uncoated) installed and cam trialed fitted

Rotating bits will also go in monday for balancing so hopefully Easter assembly can occur.

Excellent - all coming together. Nassi is so fortunate. Laughing

I use a small air drill I got at Trade tools pretty cheap, it has a nice small chuck and is fast as hell.

Nassi's block was line bored and all main and rod clearances measured 2 to 2.5 thou. I will verify with plastigauge just to satisfy myself

Indeed. Good clearances for the bearings. Looking very sweet. Last time you did not paint the lifter and chain gallery so painting it is a change in procedure. Looks great.

He painted the block black so he is forgiven.

What an oversight. Consider this a pictorial procedural update :

I would give Pablo picasso a run for his money on lifter valleys...Thanks for your help Tony....although you still haven't redeemed yourself for communication errors earlier in night !

Will also add that the SCAT 9000 cast crank needed a cleanup by the machine shop (micropolish) as a couple journals were out a bit (within factory specs though) but this shop is quite fastidious and rectified for me.

If anyone needs machining work done see Danny @ Performance Modifications in Osborne Park.
