4G trackers

Post by hybrid »

I've finally got a few 4G trackers to play with... even if it's been 3 months delay.
On the test bench so far they seem to work exactly the same as the 3G versions.

Cool. A mate's son just bought a 'fully sic GTR' and I suggested the tracker from here to him.

Hi Jeff, I purchased one of the trackers from the very first batch, which I never got to fit, is that one now obsolete, and am I better off to buy this new version for when my car hits the road.

Hi Lee,
I'm not changing mine. I will keep using it until they kill 3G.
There is absolutely no benefit to 4G over 3G with these (in fact 2G is more than enough) and the wiring/plug is exactly the same, so when 3G dies, you can easily swap over.

Pricing is not finalised, but should only be slightly more than the 3G version. Probably $180ish direct from the website (more on ebay because they take a fair cut).
I'll probably bring the 3G ones down closer to cost as well because there's no use having both in stock since they do the same thing.

Hi Jeff.

Is there a way to reduce the tracker's sensitivity to starting voltage?

I get 2 or 3 messages whenever I start my car that say low voltage.
