I've been told that the cookie is tied to your IP address. So if the IP address changes on the same computer, the cookie will be invalid.

That explains why when my phone goes from wifi to data, I have to log in again.

I personally think these new secure cookie settings should be optional, and I will try to get the devs to go that way. I think security is very important, but you also have to weigh that up against what we are protecting. If someone hijacked your forum session, is it really a big deal? It's not like it's your banking website.
If you had an online store that shared the login cookie, of course you would want it more secure.

I have no trouble with my phone or tablet (both Samsung) but here at work I have 2 computers , both on the same internet connection, the old computer running XP automatically logs in 99% of the time but the newer computer running Windows 10 I always need to login.

Just got home and turned on the home computer for the first time in ages.
It's Windows 10 as well and does the same as the work Windows 10.

Pith off Pete. I have never owned a commodore, let alone a 1964 model.

That is probably it then, I am on a pre paid modem.
Anyway no big deal, I was just curious.

I did make some changes that may have caused one login, but not two.

You should really upgrade mate, windows 7 isn't supported anymore and over here on the East (Read Best) side of the country we even have color screens on our puters, how good is that.....?

Pete,
is there an update out for Windows XP? Still runs like a charm up here.
