Not a lot of progress this weekend, had to go to Brisbane. I managed to get some undercoat and two-pack on the control arms. Did a quick "test fit' pretty sure I need to cut a bit more off the flange for the upper control arm.

Not a lot will be happening in the next few weeks, booked up with work and moving my daughter.

Need a bit of help.
It was suggested I look in the photo bucket for some info.
Not sure how to do it.
Any help appreciated.

Who suggested that? Kerry? I think there's a link to his photobucket in his profile.

Need to take a bit more off the flange, rather do it now than have to do it later.

Cut out and welded flange. Test fit upper control arm

Fitted the rest of the left hand side, looks good.

Not planning on using these brakes, using the FG brakes, 322 rotors and callipers

Back to work tomorrow.

Shock is upside down. Looks like the front end fitted up easily.

Your right Kerry, this is the way the shockies are mounted. The front end did fit up nicely, the tolerance's are quite tight, so very happy.

After a couple of trips to Brisbane and moving the daughter into a new apartment I finally had a chance to get back to this project.

First job was to pull the motor from the donna car, so I can do a test fit in the Mustang.
Has been an 'eye-opener' working on these newer cars, removing K frame, motor and transmission.
Here's a few pictures

Image

removed radiator, aircon, ps cooler

Removed all wiring and hoses etc., K frame, then dropped the motor. Had to lift the body to clear the motor.

Motor out

Does anyone know how they lift these motors with an engine hoist, or which mounting points they use.

thanks

Looks fantastic!
What are you doing with the FG Shell? I'm guessing it's a stat write off? Would you sell any cuts off it?

Been busy extending the shed to fit the car hoist in (nearly finished) and doing some work around the property. Got the brackets back from the engineering shop and now can fit the FG brakes to TCI stub axels.

Shed extension 90% finished. Have the hoist up and running. One step closer.
