New Heart for Scarlet
You will just have to buy the edition to find out!!!
Just kidding...I shall post the progress here. I take this project as a personal goal and challenge.
So I ended up buying a new Dart block (like a few here ) amongst other bits during the VPW and ebay/paypal sales over the last few months.
The plan... a 363 FI Novi2000 screamer. Why? Because that little Devil (you know who you are) on my shoulder has been whispering in my ear "363..363 ..." since my car project started .. thanks Mr Devil.
I always wanted to stick with the 302 base because everything will just bolt straight back in. I do have details on modifying the Novi brackets to fit a 351W base but that creates a bunch of other issues which i feel are unnecessary.. so enter 363.
I built the car ready to accept it so the only upgrades required are gearbox internal strengthening (have a plan) and new headers/mufflers.
Couldnt pass on 18% off sitewide (thanks Hybrid) sale followed by 30%VPW one for the big items.... so now seemed like the right time.
After a big read on Boofs engine build article (Techzone), I have my build plan all laid out.
A few key parts on their way from the USA.. but more on that later, Lets start with a blury pic of the DART SHP 4.125 block as delivered. We all know what a block looks like and its buried under parts at the moment so i dont have a pic:P
My 302 (HO H/C/I etc.. etc..) will be up for sale closer to the time of swap over because as much as i want to keep it, being the best 302 ive ever had, the devil has convinced me its better off screaming in someone else's car/project

3 reasons it would be no contest:
1) George won't go
2) I can't seem to make a clean pass
3) My engine is not in the same league
Re: New Heart for Scarlet
Jeffs right. . With my luck id go sideways into a wall so wont go. But track numbers are cool but dont really interest me for my build. Just the build experience really ..and making sure its as highly modified as possible because standard is boringhybrid wrote:why?Ausjacko wrote:you still need to sell me those wheels you know.

Re: New Heart for Scarlet
Mate I think the modifying bug is a real thing. I think I'm happier when my car is in pieces and I'm doing things to it. Once it's running, I feel a bit lost.......maybe I need helpgbx78 wrote:Jeffs right. . With my luck id go sideways into a wall so wont go. Re: New Heart for Scarlet
I'm the same Husky, although it annoys me when it's in pieces too
I built a couple of mini quads for the kids so I would stop playing with the car.

Mate you're losing money by not buying it
Re: New Heart for Scarlet
Will this one come in under $500 like the 302 did or maybe just a tad more?
