Has any one ever tested the reduction or otherwise in twist strength resistance aka stiffness compared to stock when a MII front has been installed?
who knows, maybe some yank has.
I can't say I've tried to look it up

rear suspension was selected as TCP g-link rear with Fab 9 diff housing.
It was purchased as a kit and it uses the factory rear suspension mounting points in conjunction with a cradle that also bolts to the rear chassis (the only holes that you need to add).
It can also be purchased as a slightly different kit to use with your original housing negating the need for you to weld brackets to the housing.
As i had no diff to start with i got their housing with bracketry already fitted at a good price.
Its running 12" disc brakes, 4 piston callipers and internal handbrake.

Chassi sub frame connectors were welded in and a removable X brace was also installed as well as torque boxes.

Nice. So how did you route the rest of the exhaust?
I will someday think of something clever to say.

brakes and steering.

The brake setup consists of 12"Wilwood rotors and 4 piston callipers, a Wilwood pedal box with integral bias bar adjuster, individual brake and clutch master cylinders, 2 x VH40 boosters.
I made up and installed all new hard lines and purchased new ADR approved flexible lines.
I recessed the firewall for the master cylinders and to gain more engine clearance and get it further back in the chassis. Installed the new pedal box including additional bracing to the dash and firewall to withstand the forces .

The steering column and shaft are Ididit items. The steering column is chrome finished and is a collapsable column. I made a new mount for the column where it exits the firewall and installed a new collapsable column mount to the dash including strengthening. Steering wheel was changed during the build and now it is also an idiot wheel that is a similar pattern to the rims.

You can see the firewall column mount in the pics above., others below.

No AC -dont want it.

I have installed a Vintage air heater/demister unit.
Ill show it later when i get up to that point.
was going to finish showing the steering , then move to engine/gearbox, trans tunnel next.
not sure which point ill show the heater.

Oh and my next post very shortly shows some important news which requires me skipping ahead a bit in the build.

Got it engineered on wednesday by queanbeyan engineer John Wilson.
Fantastic help he was . Total cost of engineering and full brake and lane change testing was only $1600.

First time for me driving it and he had me lane changing through cones at 90kmh... fark that was interesting because it had only just stopped raining whilst i unloaded her off the trailer.
