Was making some more progress tonight until I realised I’m missing adjusting bolts ? this is what happens when you get your old man to pull something apart.

Does anyone have a few spare adjusting bolts for the vent glass?

Not sure what’s going on here but don’t think something is right. I have a rather large gap between the quarter window and the door glass. I haven’t got the weather strip yet but even then think it’s looks too big. Any ideas?

Making some progress now, front seats in, dash back together and even a 50 year old globe still working in the stereo ? and thanks to JBB managed to get the quarter window to line up a bit better. Do have a strange issue though, the quarter window won’t wind down all the way, it seems to bottom out in the roller runner, see last pic. Anyone had this before?

Also took her out for the maiden voyage today ?

The quarter window tracks are the wrong way around. Memory is faded as it has been years since I saw this but I am sure there is a piece track which you swap left and right side.

For those in the know, what do you use to glue down the rear rack strip on the roof?

Do you mean "tack strip"? And if so where did you get it from please. A local trimmer has had trouble finding it so he fills the bow with urethane allows it to set and staples straight into it.

Oops, yep meant tack strip.

I bought these when I was in the states from classic industries. It says the front and rear are the same but the rear comes up a little short, I think it will work though. NPD do a rear set too but the freight was too much.

My idea was to use urethane and then push the tack strip in, it’s a pretty tight fit into the bow already so thought the urethane would just give it a hand staying put

One more thing. The long 1/4" bolts that hold the convertible top around the rear are 2 different sizes. The longer ones go straight back and the shorter ones go to the sides.

If you mix them up, the longer ones will punch a hole in the quarter panel. A motor trimmer did that to me in California on a Shelby convert.
