OK, I will try for the weekend, the engine bay should be OK but no dice with the underneath. The car is on a showroom floor and you know how low they are, I could not focus even if the camera could.
Back to you Pete for the underside.

Re: A Tiger at Duggo
Have spoken to my acquaintance and he doesn't have a car without an engine for photo's although he did say I would be welcome to take some photo's with a car on a jack..

Re: A Tiger at Duggo
Just sticking the camera (or phone) under the car for a pic of the cross member will be enough thanks. No need to jack it up.Pinto-Pete wrote:Have spoken to my acquaintance and he doesn't have a car without an engine for photo's although he did say I would be welcome to take some photo's with a car on a jack..

Re: A Tiger at Duggo
Update: fabbed up the radiator intake to help flow air through the core. Front apron is attached by the mounting bolts for the front license plate ......
Painted & then welded in place .......
Then fabricated some strengthening plates for the rear spring front mounts. Originally it is a silly design as the mount is only resistance spot welded to the X frame rails & is in tension. Common to see them split (as this one was) .......
& so ended another Saturday

One happier tiger!! It looks like it has front bias leaf springs on it as well.

Great work there. Great to see an update.
I will someday think of something clever to say.
Re: A Tiger at Duggo
Weeks ago I had completed a small patch repair of the LHF inner skirt. Seems they had made a repair in this area & then ground the crap out of it. There were splits all over the place ........
Opened up the slots where the exhaust goes through to allow 2" pipes on the vehicle (1 3/4" was the max before). I used 3" exhaust tube to reinforce the holes & it also stops the dirt building up in the X frame ......

Re: A Tiger at Duggo
That is super trick Kerry, love that exhaust pass through the frame.

Re: A Tiger at Duggo
They did that stock. You can actually see the original Sunbeam Alpine single exhaust hole to the lower right of the drive shaft hole (these cars were modified after the body was complete). However the slot the original Tiger exhaust pipes passed through (same location that the larger ones are fitted to now) only allowed the smaller exhaust pipe.cage wrote:That is super trick Kerry, love that exhaust pass through the frame.
They only had a 260 2 barrel Ford Windsor in them, so not even 180 horse. Now it has a 289 & a 4 barrel (close ratio top loader gearbox), so even in standard configuration, it would be around 240 horse, maybe more now it can breathe.
