Website time out or something

Post by Foresight »

I don't know if anyone else has had it but I was just typing up post and wasted an hour and a half worth of work because of some cache error. Is it to do with the timeout length or something? It appears that I was logged out so when I went to preview I lost everything.

Sometimes the back button will work, but it depends on your browser. Some will keep what you had typed, but others lose it.

Screenshot will help, but not much I can do at this end if your cookie has timed out (which is what logs you out).

Was it a huge post? There could have been a post size limit too, but without having the original message it's hard to test.

Often when I'm doing a huge post on a website I copy and paste into notepad before I submit, just in case.

I was writing up my stereo install so it wasn't really huge in terms of characters but it just took me ages to structure and place images. I tried the back button but no luck. I am using chrome.

Interested to know what speakers and why if that was not going to be part of the content.
