Looked at it on my way home from StMarys Prestige Smash (soc123_au) after playing with the cage mobile. The Capri looks even better in the flesh.

The painter (who also did the bondo work) really made my repairs look good, might have to offer him a job ......

Played with the wiring today, it had been molested a lot over the years & took some getting back to stock. 6 hours of work & the dash harness is almost there & ready for testing. Engine bay harness also not too far away ......

Nice. In my Capri the large firewall connectors were a source of problems. So with the help of my Uncle the car was rewired. Lots of wire purchased, built a wooden frame with nails ran the wire and taped it up. First time I was exposed to that approach. Worked very well.

Thanks for all the help with the wheel center caps. All sorted now .....

Engine is now sitting in his shed while I make the alterations to the rad support. I had only ever worked on V6 Capri's back in the day & did not realize there was a difference in the rad positioning between the 4 & 6 cylinder cars. Talk about a dopey setup, they made different floor pans for autos & manuals. Also different rad supports for the V6 & 4 cylinders. How inefficient is that? Bloody Europeans have no idea .....

Excellent engine - great results. It is a lovely car your building. Missing 2 cylinders but a good car all the same.
