Loaded it on the trailer, but then decided to pull the string ...... :poke:

Plugs pulled, fluids checked & then engine wound over for oil pressure check. All good, so plugs inserted & it fired right up with it settling back to a nice idle almost immediately (it was a warm day). So whoever built the engine & set up the carbs etc, did a great job.

However it immediately told us it was British built ........ :rotfl:

So the car now resides back at my friend's home while the front mudguards are finished. I trust they will send me pics of it finished as I will only get to see it Tuesday before I fly home ....... :dance2:

This bad boy was knocked off that morning. So after cutting the rattles off, it was hung on the fence for the buzzards to take care of .......

All done except the top. That will probably be after it's first event happening on the weekend of the 13-14th June in the Napa Valley, CA.

Might just try & make it over to see it debut .......

Love the black with regency red interior and matching radiator grille slats. Absolutely sensational job, congrats.

No, it was not "road ready" while I was there. So probably next time I am over there.

Nice car, Sleeping Beauties did an SS1 jag years ago which they took to Pebble beach and won a prize, they copper coated the brake drums, not everyone cup of tea but I didn't mind the look
