Dave's 68 Coupe (Update)

Post by DavesStang »

Hi Guys,

Dave here (Previously Member "Dave66Coupe")

Just thought I would post up the car that replaced my 66 Coupe project car
and as suggested by some my previous user name no longer matched the later model therefore I decided to change that too .

The Specs are 68 C code coupe
289 , C4 auto, power steering and air con
Ex California Car

unlike my previous car this one actually runs so instead of tearing it apart I am going to try and tidy it up enough for rego and have a drive while I save up for new paint . Paint on it looks ok from a distant but on closer inspection you can see it is a drive in drive out
same day paint job. (looks to be original quarters and so far no nasties have been found under the paint)

Hi ,

Thanks for the offer but I would be happy to just get the old one deleted
if that's an option.

Well done Dave, great car, glad to see you finally got what you wanted. Where did you find it, locally? Is it new to Australia and hence why never registered. Look forward to seeing it once on the road

Hey Guys,

Anyone know why this one doesn't have a paint code ?
goes from 65C for coupe then seems to go straight to the trim code?

Special order car going by the DSO.

71 is a Los Angeles car & the 0779 is the order number.

Get a Marti report on it. http://www.martiauto.com/reports2.cfm

Yeah umm - Kerry is right about the special order, that 65C means that it's a 65 coupe with a '68 tail light panel on it.

Looks like you're back where you started - just sayin :poke:

Cheers
