This pic shows the even spacing of the bolts through the top A arm & the room to place a wrench or socket on the nuts. IMO moving the lower holes back 1/4" will have the front nut too close to that center reinforcement to be able to get a wrench on there .........

That will happen soon to John's car & today I was checking what size rod I will need for the rear fenders. They had been modified for drag slicks & the outer rear wheel wells are not in good shape. So some old school Trans-Am mods will be happening here.

Working on a sample to know what size rod to order. I knew it would be 3/16" (5mm) rod but made the sample just to confirm ........

The outside of this roll is 3/16" & to make the rear wheel arch roll match the front, I need the outer size.

I will be removing most of the outer rear wheel wells & rolling a curved piece of body metal so it joins the inner wheel arch & the outer quarter skin.

Like this (but a lot narrower) ......

That will leave only the quarter panel skin around the wheel arch. The tyre will be able to go straight up without rubbing. The stock flare shape will be increased a touch & only those, that know the cars, will be able to tell something is different ......
Damn you photobucket ... just cut off my rear quarter and found out my outer wheelhouses are dodgy as so I was hoping to see when Oz was talking about for the rears ?
