First of all, you will need to have the video ID handy.
The video ID is the random characters after the "v=" and before any "#" in a youtube URL.
For example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-mBOpx2Y6Y#t=55
To embed this video in a post, I can either press the youtube button when creating a post, and enter q-mBOpx2Y6Y as the video ID, or I can just manually enter the youtube tags with the video ID in between.
