So how are all the mustang clubs going to react when there is a flood of modern mustangs joining in. Old timers and classic owners might be a bit worried.....

I do like the rendering of it - looks great. Hope the actual car looks that good.
I will someday think of something clever to say.

Already happened in the US. Car shows look like dealership lots. It has created another headache at shows. Late models dominate some events & judging "concourse" in those categories is basically seeing how clean they are. Sounds like the judging in Australia at present, looking at how clean something is with no idea if it is correct or not .......

Car runs (such as Mustangs Across America) are now predominately late model cars & the biggest issue is they run too fast for the older cars. That was why had the sale gone through & Carol & I had bought MAA, then we were splitting the run into 2 groups, the older cars leaving earlier in the day to allow cruising at a slower speed.

Interesting. I know the clubs would like the income from the memberships but I would think a strategy developed now with the US experience as a guide would be wise....though who am I, just a boofhead, I am not a club member because I hate the politics.

Most of our club runs have been dominated by 2005 onwards cars for a couple of years. The late model owners generaly have an older car or cars as well but prefer the comfort of the newer car.
I reacted by not going as often but thats just me.

That is why I only belong to the Mustang Club of America. Although a "club" it is run & functions as a business. Same for SAAC

Most modern owners won't be joining clubs, many will be people that want a fancy car to get from A to B.

How many FPV owners are in the Ford clubs mingling with the GTHO owners?

I should've known, lol.

At Mustang shows not that many of the newer models turn up.

The Monaro club does welcome the newer models so it probably wouldn't be any different.
