Right, now I get what is going on here. You are actually filming an episode of 'Graveyard Carz, featuring a guest appearance of Big Mc, the Metal Master.

This realisation came to me while watching my first episode of 'Graveyard Carz' when the 'owner' mentioned something about taking cars left in the bottom of swamps, junk heaps and ravines (I think he means a gully) and bringing them back to new. When does this double episode air?

BTW, 'Chrysler on Murray' this weekend.

If I can get my act together, there will be an update in the next week or so. Call this a "teaser" if you like.

There has been progress on the car, but a lot of hand forming of sections that are not available (or not here anyway).

Maybe that will also see me update a couple of other threads that I have neglected.

Been a tough year.

It looks like the metal work will be finished in the next two weeks. Hopefully I can get some pictures up.

Then it can go away and have the bondo work done and it will need a lot as the "replacement panels" were terrible. They will go down as the worst I have ever had to deal with.

It is quite disheartening to think that I can have over 50 years in a trade I love and finish with a disaster. It is the only way I can describe it. Every panel had to be cut and changed to get it to fit. Major changes where stuff was anything from 10mm to 25mm out of spec.

Car will look decent, but still a long way to go before paint gets applied. Anyway, no one will be happier to see it go than me.

Next update and pictures when it is done.

Are there limited suppliers of replacement sheetmetal?

We're pretty spoilt for choice with mustangs.

Oz probably made the structure Too straight so the poorly made repo's haven't a chance.

The panels are what repo Mustang panels were 30 years ago before they got access to original dies. These outer panels are really poor in fit and finish.

You can see the pie cut I made in the roof skin to make it fit .....

Everything you see surrounding the back "skin" has been hand formed including parts of the quarter panel top section.
