Importing car

Post by GregC »

Hi
Has anyone purchased a vehicle and imported it through www.usatoaus.com.
Also has anyone had dealings with Legendary Motorcar Company in Ontario Canada.
Regards
Greg

There have been mixed reports from usatoaus. There was a thread somewhere about them, I think it was on the MOCA site.

It sure was, he & I got into it. It was about salt on roads in the US & where to look for decent cars. Buying out of Canada is usually a disaster.

Looking at the resto's he does they seem very good , i watched the one where he restored a early gull wing merc for basf paints in germany head office was very well done and I doubt that they would sell a salted out car .

Never watched his show as I do not watch television. My criticism was in general about the condition of Canadian & northern US cars, not at that guy. usatoaus got my blood up on the other site by printing misinformation.

It's a great show and he does have good advice. He tends to feature very rare cars and from the hours they put into their restorations - don't expect the cars to be cheap.

Looking at their website, there's also cars on consignment, not sure how strict their quality control for that is, they have to sell cars to keep the business running but they'd probably be priced according to what their owners want to get.
