Was in the neighbourhood today so dropped into Duggo - Oz was good enough to whip up some seat rail extensions to add an extra 75mm legroom which has transformed the cockpit - co pilot is 5 foot 2 so no extra legroom required...

Quick update - 2200klm on the odo, drives nice on the open road but just missing that killer instinct - something not quite right.
SP suggests fueling, gauge shows 6 pounds from regulator at idle and up the rev range - next is secondaries spring as this carb has come from Rod’s 408 stroker that had a heavier spring - check in the spares box and dig out the yellow spring, switch and went for a drive.
Different car when the secondaries open fully - now we’re talking :burnout:
Still needs timing checked and AOD tweaked but it’s a huge step in the right direction...
Rubber mounted the Holley blue today, can still be heard but it’s not as overpowering as it was before.
Have a slight diff whine on the accelerating edge between 90 & 100 klm p/hr, already using thicker diff oil so I’ll just crank the stereo and stay above 110 - hopefully it will fade in time.

Cheers

Astro got an itch that he needed scratched.
So last week we installed this setup for him. (Jacko and myself)

ITs got a good sound and when fully open its actually not too loud.

Hey Astro on your cross member where you have packed it down with washers to clear the sump I want you to get some square bits of the correct thickness steel made up. This will spread the load as if it were bolted up hard. I suspect it may be moving around how you have spaced it currently. It needs to load the entire area, now all the load is on the bolts you don't have the friction between the surface.
