Oh, forgot to ask whether they had any of their portable devices on display: GT60 or the MT90. I think the bigger opportunity rests with these devices.

Didn't look too much into what was on display.
It doesn't matter what kind of device it is.. as long as it can send info to the server it can be tracked.

Does the device have to be Meitrack or do they all use the same protocol? Alternatively, can your geewhizery make all of them work with the application?

Their info says that it can support many devices, but will have to wait until we get more details.

Been thinking about something like this for my car along with other things I have. Would it be worth somebody who is going to the Canton Fair to keep their eyes open for something??

There may be some cheaper ones out there, but meitrack have been pretty good to deal with. Very responsive.

Jeff
Are you still looking at the commercial version of the software from Meitrack?

Yes... it's actually already up and running.
We're looking to install a tracker to the company vehicles soon to do some testing on it.

I agree, great work. Mine is also still sitting in its box as I was not sure what to do.

Great to hear.

Spoke to a friend in Bj on the cost of other Meitrack devices. If we were minded to lodge a bigger order he thought he might be able to go straight to the manufacturer.
Cheers

I have been dealing with Meitrack themselves the whole time.
Or are you suggesting that Meitrack are not actually the manufacturer?
