Hi all
getting a nit of mixture of part numbers etc trying to upgrade the 55 amp bosch to an 85 amp.
The old one is a Motorcraft/ Bosch 9 120 060 492 55amp
Looks like the new 85 amp is Bosch number BXF-1238A.
Can anyone confirm or offer alternatives?
The car has had twin thermos added, battery moved to the boot with upgraded cables etc that go along with the move.
Was driving back in the ran the other day with the heater on, wipers on, stereo on, headlights on, crawling thru traffic in rush hour and when the fans cut in the battery voltage would drop to just over 12V.
I know the cause.....shouldn't have been driving in the rain!
