Hey Baz.

Yeah , nearly $7k seems expensive compared to importing from the US.

Why not move to Hedland and build it there ! Would be cheaper !

Glad you got a cheaper price.

Cheers,
Frank.

I suggest not moving to hedland, not for the dodgy part, but forthe rental costs. 7k is about 1 months rent there, according to the house i stayed in out of south hedland in 2009.

Have you got it insured yet Baz, Port Hedland is about to be pounded by 200km winds from an incoming cyclone.

I would be happier if you had the stock suspension as you will use this as another wedding car. You will need the decent ride qualities that you will not get with either an RRS or TCP.

No bride will give a stuff what is under the hood or what suspension is in it. My point is keep it simple & stock so it will remain reliable.

Not if you sell the RRS gear to pay for the freight :like:
That is a bloody ripper of an idea. Shaunp, the thinking man's thinking man.

I just asked my Brother in Law to check with his brother to see if he would have any opportunity to bring one back on a backload or otherwise.

Not sure if anything will come of it but will let you know as soon as I do.

This would only be to get it to Perth and there is an expectation of a "good" rate but ya never can tell...

You know most of our thoughts on suspension Bas, I like TCP stuff. The pensioners prefer things as Henry intended:-)

Really, the stock stuff is fine, TCP is more for bling value, it does work well but so does the original stuff if setup properly. Its all down to whatever floats your boat.

Thats bad timing mate I used to live up in Hedland for FIFO work anyway. Centurion do a lot of work up there had some dealings with Regal Transport ( K&S Freighters) with work whilst up there

My mate just got a car sent from SA up there will see if he has the name although our work paid the bills.

ALternatively, I always see Linfox car carriers full of mine spec Hilux's maybe they can backload for you.

I reckon the trick would be to get the car steering atleast as you might get a few more takers.

How much are you prepared to pay all up?

Regards,
Trav
