This project has taken its time and will take allot more before it hits the road.

I am paying various people to work on various areas of the fit.

Right now I'm stuck on an exhaust issue. The car is RHD, I have RRS Headers, RRS rack and pinion and there just isnt enough space for the starter to stay in its original location.

So, I got a BA XR8 Bell Housing, and now have a reverse facing starter. This leaves space for the headers and rack, but the down side is the XR8 has turned my T-56 about 7 degrees.

I am trying to determine if getting custom headers is the answer or living a box on a 7 degree clocking.

Its the little things in life isnt it.......

I have a photo to add to this reply, but for the life of me, I cant work how to add/paste it?!?!?

Anyways, here's a link to some low res photos:

Note that these photos were taken prior to fitting the XR8 bell housing.

Now "jbb" Ive shown you mine, your turn.

Allaromano, on the right hand side of your pictures, you will see a box that says IMG code.
Copy that code into your post, and the photo will magically appear.

That's Awesome Allaromano, I started on my 5.0l efi conversion and restoration on my 66 fastback 4 years ago and at the time it was a fairly new conversion. I haven't finished it yet and now it is so out of date, i have the RRS suspension and steering and notched towers with heaps of space and often think ..What a waste should start over again and fit a more modern DOHC modular motor.

The beauty of a modular motor is that my engine is future proofed (for now anyways), The new coyote motors have continued with the same modular mounting.

I used RRS shock tower notches and also their engine/box mounts. The gearbox mount couldnt be used as it was no where near the right position. I used a XR8 sump so that the RRS rack could be used but the sump had to be modified to give rack the smallest of clearance.

The one benefit I can give to the RRS engine mounts is that it sits the engine quite low in the bay. Low enough that I can keep my original bonnet and the supercharger/intake doesnt foul on it.

Im looking into fuel tank and pump options. Im leaning towards a 12 gallon tank with an in tank efi pump. Thes theres the question of return vs returnless systems.

On the back burner im learning to program my Tweecer RT as it is necessary to delete PATS on the EEC.

Let the games continue.........
