Back on the car-o-liner for a remeasure before welding the plenum in place.
Lucky we did as a resquare was required. Can never be too careful with this type of thing. The plenum was left off to give Nick more access for the worlds supply of wiring etc mounted behind the dash.
sealing up the plenum before welding.

Nick
Such a poor attempt above to recover credibility. Why do you think the red wire is known universally as carrying the power- no co-incidence I can tell you, the signs are everywhere.
To help on your journey I have corrected your earlier posting:
As you will note there should be Red everywhere in the design above!! I have toyed with a big red V some where - but I fear that the attention it will bring will be overwhelming. After what some may describe as an epiphany, I now realise the colour for a Fastback is Red. I have directed Brother Steve at our Blessed St Marys to properly colour the Fastback Red for that reason!!! After all I am overjoyed that the car will be enjoying the attention with all those other beautiful Red ones out there!!
PS: Cage, bit of surprise on your thread. Welcome Brother Cage of the Wiring!

Re: Nicks 68 Fastback Restomod
When you weld the panel edges to get the gap better do you have to use tig or can you use mig to do it?

Re: Nicks 68 Fastback Restomod
Mig is fine.
Re: Nicks 68 Fastback Restomod
Mig is easier when all you want to do is build up and grind back.
Re: Nicks 68 Fastback Restomod
So is oxy-acetylene if you are old enough to know how to use it ......soc123_au wrote:Mig is fine.

Re: Nicks 68 Fastback Restomod
Do you also use another welding rod to build up or just fill with the mig like you do on a small hole?
