Agree, not a fan of that back end.

It's growing on me, and if I had the money and a garage spot, I'd have one.

I'm sure it's a great car, and I've been waiting for it to grow on me be to date it hasn't.
Just my opinion, but for what it's worth... I reckon the 69 Fastback (or should I say sports roof) is still the best looking body shape ever produced, anywhere on the planet. I remember as a seven year old kid when the 77 Celica lift back came out, and all the Ford nuts laughing at the "Japanese Mustang".
I can't help but think the guys at Toyota involved with the 86/BRZ development are the ones laughing now. I guess the ultimate victory is in the sales numbers. Time will tell on that one.
Anyway, when it's all said and done, beauty is in the eye of the beer holder!

I don't like the tail lights of the 69-70's, otherwise I might agree.

Don't get me wrong - it's not the best looking car on the planet, but as far as new cars go, it's as good as any.

Given the expected price and specs, i would buy one in a heartbeat given enough garage space..
Cheers, Tony.
