First '15 Mustang was sold today for $300 000 at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale.

Supposedly its "only" the #0001 Vin. The owner will get to choose options packages.

The car taunted at the show:

Is some handbuilt (assembled, welded and painted) show only prototype from Flat Rock. It is meant to be street legal, however Ford said that it wont be released to the public.

I am suprised however, that Ford arnt coming out with some pre-release 64 1/2 special edition as a nod to the first generation.

One of our customers has just ordered his 15 Mustang from a local dealer.
Now just has to wait 12 months.

Nassi, if you know, what was the cost of the car?

I've also just read that the V8 will be a 98 octane engine in Australia much like Chrysler did with the SRT's.

So far I know three people who haven't' bought SRT's for that reason.

If dude gets his 15 Stang in 12 months that's probably quicker than if he had of ordered a Jeep SRT! :-(
Interesting comments on the 98 octane... My stock Turbo Territory runs heaps better on 98 than anything else. And the fuel economy testing I did showed the improvement almost offset the price difference. Is it the cost or the access to 98 that are swaying peoples opinions?

I'm not sure the price was defined, or any options but he did indicate around 50k.
As for 98, that is the only fuel I use even in the mower. Availabilty was only ever a problem once at Balladonia, they had run out.
My local only sells 98 or ULP.

I run 98 in all of my cars - it saves money due to the extra fuel economy I find that I get.
I will someday think of something clever to say.
