OK, got the low down on all things ECU.

TI Performance have a J3 chip, it comes in 1-3 stages from stock to wild.
it attaches to your current ECU and is progrmmed at the shop. it will
remove PATs, smart sheild ect, run the auto box, this allows you to remove the BCM and 30 Kms of wiring.
stage 2 chip is a mild application, and will give a small power/torque increase. at $190 its my choice. however there is a little work to amke it all happen. it is NOT plug and play. there is a small amount of soldering and you have to take out your ECU and clean a section of the circuit board. not really that hard. or

Bullet Performance will re flash your existing ECU(exchange) and it will do everything above, the beauty of it is if your not elect savvy, you send yours to them, tell them what you want and they send it back.
the price is $395..

This will eleviate alot of my problems, i can now run an entire ord V8 Au set up with out having to use non OEM bits. makes it easier when sourcing parts. ford AU driveline. 66 mustang shell and interior.

I hope this helps other....

I agree...
J3 Chip from TI performance runs the EL ECU in my 66..
If you have any questions give me a holler...
