Why you should NEVER leave a nitrous cylinder in the car

Post by ozbilt »

Hot day, nitrous cylinder, not a good ending. From CJ Pony Parts on Facebook ........

"It’s a bad idea to leave your nitrous bottle in your #Mustang on a hot day.

If the pressure relief valve fails..... boom! "

I have seen similar results from other gas cylinders left in vehicles, so moral of story is leave no explosive cylinders in confined locations ....... :poke:

That includes pressure pack cans. They can do a bit of damage too especially if they are paint cans.

(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

Agree John, they all kept the name alive & were right for their time, the sales numbers tell you that.

Actually the Fox body was my favourite shape after the 70 model, the latest ones look tough & drive nice, but I will wait & see what is still being raced in years to come ...... ;)

Agree - had one explode in my garage last summer - walked in and thought it had been broken into - stuff everywhere. Then saw the big streak of black paint up the wall and onto the roof. Thankfully the car wasn't in there! 8O
